Herefordshire Council Call for Sites

Herefordshire Council has started the process of reviewing and updating the Herefordshire Local Plan.

The Local Plan sets out the planning framework for the county, it covers issues including housing provision, the economy, retail and town centres, infrastructure provision and the environment. It also sets out policies by which planning applications will be determined, in addition to allocation land for housing, employment and other uses. The updated plan will cover the period 2021-2041.

As part of this process Herefordshire Council is preparing a Housing & Economic Land Availability Assessment (HELAA) and is inviting landowners to submit basic details of land for future development over 0.25 hectares. The sites should be within or close to an existing settlement.

This is an excellent opportunity to promote your site for future development and potentially get it allocated in the final Local Plan.

Details must be submitted by Friday 29th July 2022.

For advice and details of how to submit your site to the Council please contact Graham Clark, Senior Planning Consultant on 01432 809839/07469 545650 or email graham.clark@berrys.uk.com
