Berrys has appointed two additional planning consultants. Jo Townson has joined the Northwich as a qualified planning consultant while Owen Fry commenced employment in the Hereford office as a planning graduate at the beginning of October.
Jo is a fully qualified chartered surveyor with a first-class honours degree in Land Management, specialising in Planning and Development from Reading University. She gained her professional APC qualifications while working while working for a major international consultancy in Manchester gaining a wide range of experience within both the planning and development departments.
Most recently she was a self-employed consultant providing planning support for a range of public and private sector clients, notably a large redevelopment scheme in Middlesbrough Town Centre. Her range of work includes preparation of proofs of evidence for public inquiries and undertaking site appraisals for house builders.
“I am looking forward to working with a local firm and being able to offer a more personal service to clients,” said Jo.
“Being a planning and development surveyor as well as a planner I can give planning advice but with a commercial edge. This means that although I am predominantly involved in planning in the office I get involved in development appraisal projects with Berrys’ partner Graham Bowcock.”
With four young girls and a dog, most of Jo’s spare time is spent being a taxi service but the family enjoy dog walking and foreign holidays and are busy renovating the family home in Woodford, Cheshire.
Owen Fry has been appointed planning graduate at the Hereford office in response to the growing demand for planning services. Having graduated from Swansea University in July he is now assisting planning consultant Graham Clark in the busy planning department ahead of starting his master’s degree next year.
Owen is from Caerleon in South Wales and in his spare time volunteers as a civilian instructor with the Air Cadets. He enjoys mountain walking and driving his 1972 MGB GT classic car.
