Two new appointments at Berrys

Berrys has made two new appointments at its Shrewsbury office. Harriet Matthews has joined as a qualified chartered surveyor and Lucy Turner is spending a year as placement student working across both planning and professional services departments.
Harriet comes from a mixed farming background in Staffordshire and completed the Rural Enterprise and Land Management (REALM) degree at Harper Adams University. She spent her placement year at Fisher German in Stafford and returned there as a graduate, qualifying as a chartered surveyor in autumn 2013 and a Fellow of the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers in Autumn 2014.
Her work at Fisher German included estate management, valuation, environmental stewardship applications, management, landlord and tenant matters and agricultural and residential agency. In January 2015 she moved to Strutt & Parker in Chester gaining much experience in strategic estate management.
At Berrys she is working alongside partner Mark Morison on valuations, landlord and tenant matters, environmental stewardship, farm agency and compensation claims.
Outside of work Harriet enjoys helping on the family farm, yoga, cooking for friends and family as well as entertaining a very active Jack Russell terrier.
Lucy Turner has commenced a year-long placement as part of her four year REALM course at Harper Adams University. Born and raised in rural Shropshire she attended Much Wenlock School and gained work experience with Roger Parry & Partners before university.
In her spare time she enjoys shooting, horse riding, walking her dog in the Shropshire Hills and in the winter months beating for a local estate on their pheasant shoot.
“We are delighted to welcome Harriet and Lucy to our team at Shrewsbury,” said managing partner Matthew Anwyl.
“With our move to the larger office earlier this year our work load continues to increase and they are already getting their teeth into a wide range of jobs.”
Berrys is a diverse business providing a wide range of professional services to cover all the needs of rural, residential and commercial property businesses.
