Towcester Office well placed to service Northamptonshire’s Golden Triangle

Published February 2nd, 2016

Northamptonshire with its central strategic location, national infrastructure connections, communications and networks is often referred to as the ‘Golden Triangle’ and for good reason.

There has been continued success of local and regional startup businesses throughout the logistics, distribution and motorsport sectors in 2015, and Duncan Batty of Berrys is confident of 2016 being no exception to this trend.

“The Golden Triangle is home to the Silverstone Circuit which now has a diverse range of motorsport related businesses that go well beyond Formula One,” said Duncan, who is based at the Towcester office of Berrys.

“Since MEPC purchased a 999 year lease of the existing Silverstone Industrial Estate and the development land around the outside of the circuit in late 2013, there has been an influx of high performance technological businesses relocate to the area. Eight of the eleven Formula 1 constructor teams are situated at Silverstone Park and 3,500 companies associated with motor racing are based in the region.

“This activity at the Circuit has led to increased demand for commercial property in the immediate area and throughout the Golden Triangle. Throughout 2015 South Northamptonshire Council also saw a significant number of residential and commercial planning applications for schemes in Towcester, Brackley and around the Silverstone Circuit which were granted.

” These schemes should go some way to satisfying commercial property demand and provide necessary accommodation for some of the 40,000 people employed in the motorsport industry. However, it is evident that more development is required particularly in the commercial property sector,” he said.

With such limited supply of stock there are opportunities for developers and investors to satisfy this demand throughout the Golden Triangle.

“During 2015, Berrys secured a number of new clients seeking to acquire leasehold or freehold premises in the region and also clients disposing of assets which have typically received a lot of interest. We expect this to increase into 2016 and we will continue to work hard to ensure our clients’ needs are met and even surpassed,” Duncan said.

Berrys’ Towcester Office is situated at the heart of the Golden Triangle at the junction of the A43 and A5, only a stone’s throw from Silverstone Circuit.

” At Berrys, we have an unparalleled team of experts who specialise in all aspects of commercial property,” he added.
