Our 124th year has been a great one!

The managing partner of leading business, property and planning advisers Berrys has reported its most successful year since the business was established in its present form in 1992.

Matthew Anwyl, who is based at the firm’s Shrewsbury office, also predicted another record year in terms of growth in turnover, client numbers and service provision.

“Our integrated approach to property advice delivered by experienced surveyors, business consultants and town planners ensures that we add value for our clients at each point in the property cycle,” Matthew commented.

“We are constantly looking for ways to improve our service and provide innovative solutions to all our clients’ property needs.

“We have experienced growth in all service sectors but in particular, demand for our planning and development expertise and renewable energy advice has been unprecedented.

“Our business plan includes making long term investment into infrastructure, in particular IT and communications, marketing and training and this is now paying dividends.”

He said as an employer, Berrys provides an interesting and enjoyable place to work that is challenging but dynamic and he believes the results reflect this.

“As a people business our success is down to the quality of our staff and their excellence and dedication to providing a first class service,” he said.

“Our team of professional staff now comprises fourteen planners, including nine chartered town planners and two architectural technicians, seven business consultants and thirty one surveyors and valuers.”

Berrys has five offices throughout the North West and Midlands and turnover has doubled over the last three years.

“Over the same period we have increased the number of fee earning staff by more than 35 per cent,” he said.

Growth has been achieved both organically and by acquisition. Three years ago Berrys merged with Samuel Rose in Northamptonshire and in November 2013 it merged with Corbett Chartered Surveyors and opened a new office in Herefordshire.
