Quick sale for pastureland at St Martins

Published April 7th, 2015

A 22-acre block of land at New Marton, St Martins near Oswestry has been sold by Berrys in excess of its guide price.

The pastureland which has good road access was priced realistically at £175,000 and attracted a great deal of interest.

“Once we realised the level of interest, we invited sealed bids and the land exchanged and completed quickly to a local farmer,” said Charlotte Rogerson who handled the sale for Berrys at Shrewsbury.

The land included 20.61 acres of permanent pasture land with the remainder being amenity woodland.

“Farmland is a scarce commodity at the moment in Shropshire and this offering was snapped up as soon as it went on the market,” she added.
