New partner appointed at Oxford office
Published August 13th, 2019
Expanding property business and planning firm Berrys has appointed a new partner. James Steel joined the Oxford office in July as Head of Development and Project Management.
An experienced leader, James has an impressive record for the successful delivery of complex development projects, most recently as executive director and head of operations for AG Asia Ltd, with responsibility for the UK office and all elements of property development and investment activity across the portfolio including strategy and delivery, development and project management, asset management and transactions including company sales.
He previously worked at The Grosvenor Estates, initially as a building surveyor then progressing to head of building surveying and latterly senior project manager, delivering landmark west end projects including The Beaumont Hotel and 3-10 Grosvenor Crescent.
Matthew Anwyl, managing partner of Berrys, said: “This new role is an exciting development for the
Oxford team as we continue to grow the services offered.”
Berrys opened the office at Worton Park, Cassington, Oxford earlier this year to cater for growing demand in the area for property services, particularly commercial and lettings.
Working with James Steel at the Oxford office are practitioners Simon Priscott, property management consultant, Marcel Petrie, head of commercial lease advisory, and administrator Wendy Cox.
“Business is increasing month on month and we are currently recruiting for an architect/senior architectural technician, a planning consultant and a buildings surveyor, services which are currently being covered by staff from our other offices,” Matthew added.
