Free drop in clinics for farmers on BPS applications

Published February 16th, 2016

Farmers requiring assistance with their Basic Payment Scheme application and advice on the changes for 2016 are being invited to a series of drop in clinics being held in Herefordshire during March and April.

Chartered surveyors at Berrys are holding free advice clinics at their office at Newchurch Farm, Kinnersley, Hereford on:

  • Friday 18th March from 2.00pm to 5.30pm
  • Wednesday 23rd March from 2.00pm to 5.30pm
  • Wednesday 30th March from 2.00pm to 5.30pm
  • Wednesday 7th April from 2.00pm to 5.30pm

“Farmers are welcome to call in on those afternoons and discuss any queries they may have,” said Ben Corbett, Berrys’ partner at the Herefordshire office.

“We are now in the second year of the Basic Payment Scheme and applications can be made on paper or on line. There will be no need to re-register for your claim, although further details may be required.

“There are known problems with passwords and log-ins, so it is best to check now to see if they work.

“If you would like help with this please make sure you bring the necessary information, passwords and documents – phone us beforehand for details,” he added.
