A substantial block of productive arable and pasture land at Marchamley, Market Drayton, Shropshire has been sold by Berrys.

The Grade 2 and 3 well-drained land extending to 54.04 acres (21.86 hectares) was in good condition having been farmed to a high standard and in one enclosure, ideal for modern farming practices.

“This excellent block of land was in a good situation accessible from the road making it an ideal purchase for an arable or livestock farmer looking to expand,” said Chris Jones, head of rural agency with Berrys at Shrewsbury.

“Land of such quality rarely comes on the market for sale in this area so as expected we had immediate interest from local landowners and farmers.

“Having received a number of offers we asked for best and final offers and eventually the sale was agreed with a local farmer,” he added.
