Charity Gala Ball to raise funds for Air Ambulance
Published July 22nd, 2014
Professional firms in Shropshire are getting together to help raise money for their local air ambulance by holding a gala ball.
The Charity Gala Ball will be held on Friday, September 19, 2014 at Greenhouse Meadow, Shrewsbury to raise funds for Midlands Air Ambulance.
The event is being sponsored by Berrys and Nick Jones Wealth Manager and tables are being snapped up by other local professional businesses such as law firms and accountants.
The tickets cost £45 and include drinks reception, three course meal, live music and a grand auction with the chance to win a Jaguar F Type for a weekend and Jeroboam of Red Wine.
Philip Robinson, agency manager at Shrewsbury based property and business advisers Berrys said the ball could more than £5,000 for this vital service.
“The Midlands Air Ambulance is Berrys’ chosen charity and it has three helicopters serving West Midlands, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Gloucestershire, Worcestershire, Herefordshire and the Welsh borders,” said Philip.
“It is funded entirely by the public and receives no Government or Lottery funding. It needs £6 million a year to keep it in operation so our fund raising efforts are very much appreciated,” he said.
“The ball will give us all a chance to enjoy ourselves while raising money for a very worthy cause.”
