Berrys appoints new commercial property agent
Published March 28th, 2017
Northamptonshire property, business and planning firm Berrys has appointed an additional commercial agent to join its expanding team at Kettering.
Kevin O’Dell, who spent the last two years serving the county as a police officer, is stepping back from the front line to resume a career in property.
He will be working in a busy team optimising business opportunities in the commercial property sector.
The move puts Kevin back with some familiar faces as prior to becoming a Police Response Officer he spent eight years at BNE, the Northamptonshire property firm that merged with Berrys two years ago.
At BNE he spent eight years dealing with sales and lettings in the industrial, office and retail sectors and at Berrys he will be working alongside Berrys’ head of commercial agency Simon Parsons and commercial property surveyor Duncan Batty who is based at the Towcester office. He will also work closely with all Berrys’ surveyors involved with business rates, landlord and tenant advice, tent reviews and building surveying.
Having spent more than 14 years in the property business working with chartered surveyors, private and public clients he has developed excellent communication skills which he was able to use wisely with the Police.
Kevin said: “The last two years has placed even more emphasis on the importance of good communication skills and perseverance with those seeking a solution to their objectives. I was faced with some pretty difficult situations so I am hoping property matters won’t be quite as dangerous!”
“As well as handling existing properties I am very keen to increase our levels of stock for enquirers wanting space particularly in the warehouse and office sectors currently in the Kettering, Corby and Wellingborough areas,” he added
Kevin has a wife, two sons and a Beagle, all of whom keep him very busy at weekends and evenings. He is a big Tottenham Hotspur fan and when he gets the chance enjoys road cycling and golf and socialising with friends.
“My wish is to complete the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu in Peru and for Spurs to win the league just once!” he added.
