Property Focus – Grade II listed former school house in Little Oakley

Published November 23rd, 2016

In this week’s Property Focus a unique home in Little Oakley, Northamptonshire. The Grade II listed property is a former school house and dates back to 1852. Agency co-ordinator Kamil tells us a bit more about this lovely house:

So where is the property based?
Little Oakley, a small parish village in the Kettering district of Northamptonshire.  The location of the property is not far from Corby and Kettering, with excellent access to main roads and railway links.  There are also good primary and secondary schools in the nearby area, as well as private schools.

What’s special about the property?
The house dates back to 1852 and is a Grade II listed property. When you enter the house via the Gothic style solid oak door you are immediately charmed by the property’s character and a vaulted ceiling of the lounge. The sitting room, for example, has stone walls and the family room has a roaring fire place. Excellent for a cosy night in!

What’s your favourite room in the house?
The kitchen is an absolute winner for me. The solid oaks units with granite worktops and the Rangemaster stove just epitomises family life – a real ‘centre of the home’.

Anything else worth mentioning?
Last but not least, the property has an indoor heated pool. Did I also mention the large garden with extensive countryside views? This house has everything your family needs and is definitely worth a visit.
