Leading chartered surveyors group Berrys continues to expand with the appointment of Ben Corbett to work with the team in Shropshire and open a new office in Herefordshire.
A Herefordshire farmer’s son, Ben graduated from Wye College London University in 1998 with a degree in Agricultural Business Management. He then joined Velcourt where he was responsible for the implementation of agricultural trials across England (and occasionally places such as Zambia) and then production manager at a wholesale Tree Nursery in Shropshire. He then took a Masters in Rural Estate Management at the Royal Agricultural College before joining Savills where he qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 2006.
More recently he has been trading as Corbett Chartered Surveyors, providing professional, planning and business management advice to private clients in the North Herefordshire area and also working with a Leominster firm of surveyors, delivering planning, business management and valuation advice across Herefordshire, Shropshire, Powys, Worcestershire and Monmouthshire.
He will be based at Berrys’ new Herefordshire office located on his family farm at Newchurch Farm, Kinnersley, Hereford.
“Ben’s appointment will develop and strengthen our client base and service delivery in the South Shropshire/North Herefordshire area and gives us an office presence in Herefordshire,” said Matthew Anwyl, managing partner of Berrys.
“The development continues our expansion in the West Midlands and follows the recent extension of our offices at Shrewsbury to accommodate our growing planning and professional team.
“Ben brings a range of skills and we look forward to assisting farmers and property owners in South Shropshire and Herefordshire with their future property, business and planning projects,” Matthew added.
