Expert Witnesses

Expert witnesses are required to give evidence before the courts and arbitrators in a range of property related disputes whether relating to residential, agricultural or commercial property. The disputes which give rise to such requirements may be partnership dissolution, matrimonial, professional negligence claims or a wide variety of other land based issues.

In addition to being instructed by a party to a dispute we are regularly required by the courts to act as Single Joint Expert.

All of our expert witness are accredited by either the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors or the Royal Town Planning Institute and have undertaken in-depth expert witness training.

Our expert witnesses:

Berrys’ expert witnesses are familiar with and comply with Part 35 of the Civil Procedure Rules, Part 25 of the Family Procedure  Rules and the associated Practice Directions.
Expert Witness reports prepared by Fellows and Members of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors are in accordance with the RICS Practice Statement and Guidance Note “Surveyors Acting as Expert Witnesses”.
We have direct experience as mediators and arbitrators.
