Farmers and landowners visiting Cheshire Ploughing Match on Wednesday, September 24 are being invited to drop in at Berrys stand for refreshments and a free chat about professional matters.

This year’s match is at Ashley Hall Farm, Hale and thousands of people are expected to attend.

“We attend a number of shows throughout the year and Cheshire Ploughing Match will round off the season for us,” said Emily Barber who organises the show stands for Berrys ‘ Northwich Office.

“The new Common Agricultural Policy payment system is likely to be a hot topic for farmers at the match and we have specialists on the stand who can advise on all aspects including helping with crop choices to meet the new ‘greening’ requirements and understanding the new online claim system,” she said.

“We can also advise farmers and landowners affected by the proposed HS2 rail link and other projects such as pipelines and pylons involving compensation,” she added.

Cheshire ploughing match offers everything for country lovers from ploughing and hedgelaying competitions through to heavy horses, vintage tractors and demonstrations and trade stands.
