A charity ball sponsored by Shrewsbury businesses Berrys and Nick Jones Wealth Management has raised a fantastic £10,000 for Midlands Air Ambulance.
A total of £7,800 was raised on the night and then an ‘anonymous’ individual volunteered to top it up to £10,000.
The Charity Gala Ball was held at Greenhous Meadow, Shrewsbury and as well as dinner and dancing there was a grand auction with the chance to win prizes such as a Jaguar F Type or a Volvo for a weekend or a Jeroboam of Red Wine.
“The evening was a huge success and we are delighted to have raised so much money for Midlands Air Ambulance,” said Philip Robinson, agency manager at the Shrewsbury office of property and business advisers Berry.
“The 300 or so people who attended the evening had a very enjoyable night and we are extremely grateful for their generosity and to the generosity of all our sponsors.
“The Midlands Air Ambulance is Berrys’ chosen charity and it receives no Government or Lottery funding so the £10,000 raised will be very much appreciated,” he added.
