New retail development to let on Whittons Lane, Towcester

Published January 22nd, 2019

Commercial surveyors at the Towcester office of Berrys have been appointed to let a new retail development on Whittons Lane in the heart of Towcester town centre on behalf of Clayson Country Homes.

The exciting scheme provides a mixture of six retail and two restaurant / café units from 562 sq. ft. to 1,633 sq. ft. which can be combined to suit requirements.

All units are self-contained with good natural light, glazed frontages and open plan retail space. The available café / restaurant unit has full height bifold doors, outside seating and extraction flues fitted.

The pedestrianised thoroughfare known as Whittons Lane is accessed from Watling Street opposite the Saracens Head Hotel and leads through to Moat Lane immediately opposite the Forum.

There is parking available on Northampton Road opposite the scheme and nearby on the Market Square. The design of the development is of a high quality and in keeping with the town centre and surrounding period buildings.

Since completion of the speculative development at the end of last year Berrys has welcomed both Warrens Bakery and LAB Hair into the scheme with a further unit now under offer.

Duncan Batty of Berry’s said: “Despite the current economic climate and the particularly difficult retail sector, we have experienced a good level of enquiries for the remaining units from the local and wider regional market and envisage that the current residential growth in the area will continue to attract operators.

“Towcester continues to be popular for investment and new business and if you would like to discuss opportunities in the area or for further information on available properties please contact us.
