Berrys at prestigious farming awards ceremony

A business consultant from Northamptonshire narrowly missed out at a prestigious farming awards ceremony this month. William Tongue was runner up in in the 2019 Farmers Weekly Awards in the category for Arable Adviser of the Year held at the Grosvenor Hotel in London.

William is a business consultant and partner at the Kettering office of Berrys and is also involved in his family’s farming business in Bedfordshire.

One of three finalists from 42 contenders, he was interviewed and visited by the competition judges who were looking for the adviser doing most to innovate and improve their business while protecting the environment and engaging with the community.

William has a first-class honours degree in Agricultural Business Management from Wye College, University of London. He is a Fellow of the British Institute of Agricultural Consultants and the Institute of Agricultural Management.

William is from a Bedfordshire farming family and is a partner at Berrys following the merger with Samuel Rose in July 2012. He has a first class honours degree in Agricultural Business Management from Wye College, University of London. He is a Fellow of the British Institute of Agricultural Consultants and the Institute of Agricultural Management.
